Dr. Gerdsri's Joint Publication on Technology Roadmapping Research

Asst. Prof. Dr. Nathasit Gerdsri participated with the research team at Dept. of Engineering and Technology Management, Portland State U. (USA) to enhance the work on the technology roadmapping research. The work results have been recently published in: Journal of Transportation System Engineering and Information Technology [Issue 11(2) pp.58-69] under the title of “Technology Development Envelope Approach for the Adoption of Future Powertrain Technologies: A case study on Ford Otosan Roadmapping Model ”

Research by CMMU Ph.D. Student and Faculty Member Accepted for Publication

Joint research by CMMU Ph.D. student Yuanfeng Cai and Assistant Prof. Dr. Randall Shannon has been accepted for publication in the Australasian Marketing Journal (AMJ), an international academic journal listed in Scopus. The title of the article is: “Personal Values and Mall Shopping Behavior: The Mediating Role of Attitudes of Chinese and Thai Consumers". The study examines what and how personal values influence consumers’ mall shopping behavior in two non-Western countries, China and Thailand.  Among the main results, the research finds that Chinese shoppers are guided more by self-transcendence and self-enhancement values, whereas Thais shoppers are guided more by openness to change values.  We would like to congratulate soon-to-be CMMU Ph.D. graduate Yuanfeng (Bonnie) and her CMMU faculty advisor Dr. Randall with their achievement!

CMMU Faculty Research on State Enterprise Leadership in Thailand Published by Scopus Journal

CMMU Visionary Leadership research at a Thai state enterprise by Assistant Professor Dr. Sooksan Kantabutra and Dr. Molraudee Saratun has been published by Management Research Review, a SCOPUS journal. 

Extending previous research, the present study examines relationships between vision realization factors and employee satisfaction at a Thai state enterprise.  Derived from the literature, these vision realization factors are vision communication, motivation, and empowerment of employees. Findings indicate that vision communication, motivation, and empowerment of employees are directly predictive of enhanced employee satisfaction at the Thai state enterprise.

CMMU Faculty and students Experience in PICMET 2011

A year has passed since the last PICMET’10 conference here in Thailand and the CMMU research team is back for more.  In this year, the conference was held during July 31 - August 4, 2011 in Portland, Oregon; the home of the conference, under the theme of "Technology Management for Global Economic Growth".  There were more than 500 academic and business practitioners from all over the world participate with around 350 papers invited to present. CMMU faculty and Ph.D. students also had the opportunities to share their research findings in four topics. Now, the team begins to prepare for the next PICMET’12 Conference in Vancouver, Canada.

CMMU Faculty Publication awarded by JSR

Each year, the Journal of Services Research (JSR) identifies and recognizes the five best papers published.  A paper co-authored by Asst. Prof. Dr. Randall Shannon was one of the finalists among the papers published in 2010.  It was an eleven country study titled: Drivers of Trust in Relational Service Exchange: Understanding the Importance of Cross-Cultural Differences.
